Swap Madness - Amazing Birthday

Even though I've been a Demo for a couple of years, I hadn't participated in any card swaps. It was the fear that I wasn't able to produce something "swap" worthy. Well, I decided that it was going to be different this year, so, I joined a swap...not one, but, EIGHT of them! How crazy is that??? But, I'm proud to say that I'm halfway done! Yay!

One of my swaps is a monthly swap that lasts for 6 months - absolutely the nicest bunch of women that I have had the pleasure of getting to know! I have gotten some great ideas from the six of them and I'm really glad that I joined this swap.
For this month, I did this:

I did some heat embossing on the sentiment, which is something I hadn't done for awhile and am really happy with the results. If the sentiment looks different, it's because I omitted the bottom of it - the washi tape looking part - that way I could use The Banner Framelit Dies. The list of items used is at the bottom of this post.

I'll be posting pictures of my other swaps as I complete them and once I know that the swap hostess has received them.

Make sure you check out my Stampin' Up! page at http://kahuila1.stampinup.net, where you can shop 24/7 for all of you crafting needs!

Until next time...go put some ink on your stamps and have some fun!

It's alive!!!

Yay! It's finally here -  2014/2015 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog!
So excited about it...some really great items this year - the new In Colors are awesome, I'm loving the new stamps...and...Project Life! Yes! Stampin' Up! has partnered with Becky Higgins to create their own selection of Project Life items! Can it get any better than this?

Here's a little info on me:)
I've been a hobby demo with SU! since 2012. I am an avid paper crafter and dabble a little in sewing, knitting and other crafty stuff that I wheedle my husband in to helping me with:) I also love making mini albums, journals and organizers - my head is constantly full of ideas!

This blog is work in progress...just like me;) I'm still trying to figure out how to attach widgets and such and working out my blog layout...please pardon the inconvenience!

I hope you come back and visit with me...and, I hope you enjoy what you see and find some inspiration along the way...

In the mean time, go put some ink on your stamps and happy crafting!
